Like many others, I have become obsessed with Netflix' One Day. I read the book years ago in my early twenties and absolutely fell in love with it. Fast forward to 2024 and One Day has been adapted into a limited series, and yes, I’m ugly crying right there with you.

I’ll be honest, the vibes of stories like One Day are not my go to because, quite frankly, I don’t relate to them all that much (a whole other blog post on that coming soon). Having said that, I absolutely loved One Day and connected with it in a way I didn’t expect. Similarly, I’ve realised I’ve actually read a few books with that same kind of agonising torturous love or books depicting plain old emotional chaos.

So, if you’re still not ready to leave the agony of heartbreak behind just yet, here are a few books that will prolong that self inflicted yearning for angst and soul crushing existential questioning a little while longer.

Book Reccomendations:

Good Material — Dolly Alderton

Eleanor Oliphant is Just Fine — Gail Honeyman

Normal People — Sally Rooney
