If like me, you’ve always eyed the fantasy section of the bookstore, intrigued but intimidated, then I can tell you, there’s nothing to be scared of! I’ve recently gotten into fantasy after years of reading mainly literary fiction and I’m loving it. To feel like a kid again, imagination running wild, excitement brimming. So here’s a list of books to help you take a step closer to that elusive genre that is the world of fantasy:
1. Divine Rivals
This book was my first wander into the fantasy romance section and honestly I loved it. It has definitely inspired me to read more in the genre. The book follows two young up and coming journalists who venture into a warzone to report on it in real-time. They also happen to be connected by letters that magically appear to one another, and of course, the romance commences. The wholesomeness of the romance will honestly give you all the butterflies, its just so damn sweet.
2. Babel
This book is more political fantasy as well as dark academia. It is absolutely up there as one of my favourite reads of last year and I can’t recommend it enough.Kuang…
