The last few days, my feed has been covered with the faces of Gaza’s starving children. Children who have become mere skeletons; shadows of their former selves. Their parents beside them, desperate, watching their babies wither away. I cant even imagine the pain.

Melanie Ward, CEO of charity Medical Aid for Palestinians, described the children of Gaza as “being starved at the fastest rate the world has ever seen”. Just take a moment to comprehend that sentence. And what’s worse is we’re watching it, unable to do a thing. The images are there, on our screens, evidence, as clear as day. No denying it. the world is witness.

And Israel continues, as we move into the fifth month, with impunity, and with full backing of Western powers. All whilst the people of Gaza are being executed point blank, bombed, starved or run over with Israeli tanks. The Western world, its active provision and sponsoring of Israels genocidal spree, alongside its criminalization and demonization of anyone who opposes israels onslaught, have shown their monstrous faces.

The worst part is the recent theatrical display of air dropped food for the people of Gaza by, amongst others, the U.S. Dropping them aid whilst simulatenously facilitating the bombs that drop on them too. Double speak via action.

I can’t help but think of the most sadistic of them all; Grandpa Joe casually mentioning a ceasefie whilst enjoying an ice cream, as Gaza is set alight and its children dying in droves. Because that is the reality, they are monsters. Every single person in power who is aiding, abetting. Every single journalist that manuiplates language to sanitise Israel’s culpability. Every single public official that demonises ordinary people calling for an end to the bloodshed as 'extremism’. Every single person that makes excuses for genocide. They are monsters. All of them.
